North Sydney get together
Join us for our first event of 2012 and explore this fascinating part of North Sydney's history.
The Coal Loader Centre for Sustainability, Balls Head Road, Waverton has recently been transformed from an ex-industrial site to a place where you can be inspired by best-practice sustainable technology, community gardens, native bush nursery, regenerated parklands and much more.
It showcases innovation, enables hands-on learning about sustainability in everyday life, and serves as a community meeting point and hub for Council's extensive range of environmental and sustainability programs.
A representative will provide a short presentation about the function of the centre, as well as discuss geocaching related issues in the region.

Geocache of the Month: January 2012
Congratulations to Idealogy as the inaugral winners of the Geocaching NSW Geocache of the Month award for The Final Cut (GC24C7).
This geocache was placed in October 2001, has been found 74 times (40 DNFs) and has a favourite rating of almost 50%.
According to the geocache description:
Those who complete this cache will be rewarded with spectacular views along the coast from a vantage point few know exist, let alone visit.
The route in can be a bit nerve wracking, but those accustomed to a bit of rock hopping should have no problems, just mind your head in places.
Thank you once again Idealogy - one of the early pioneers of geocaching in NSW - for this fantastic geocache.
Who will receive the award in February 2012?
Help us decide by nominating your favourite geocache. Tell us in around 50 words or more why you think it deserves the award. It doesn't have to be a geocache hiden or found in the past 30 days.
Head to the Geocaching NSW fourm and start nominating.
Geocoin 2012 vote
The nominations are in and the Geocaching NSW committee have come up with a shortlist for the association's 2012 geocoin.

We welcome a new addition to our online store - Geocaching NSW bumper stickers. Stick them on your geomobile, on a geocache or even on your geokids.
They are printed on premium-grade white vinyl stock for added strength and durability, using light-fast inks and a UV-resistant varnish to protect them from fading.
Each sticker measures 50 mm x 200mm and is UV and water resistant, so they should handle the great Australian outdoors.
Order a set of Geocaching NSW stickers today from our online store or you can purchase them direct at any Geocaching NSW event.
